Interview and performing 3 songs LIVE ON-AIR!
There’s always an energy in the studio when bands come for a session, but theres a specifically different kind of energy when those sessions are live on-air, and especially when it’s the band’s first public radio station performance… thebandfriday got to experience the when they brought their songs to life live on the air on More Music in the Morning with Nic Harcourt + Jet for their first-ever SoCal Sound session
The group—fronted by lifelong friends Aiden and Finn, and joined by Corbin (guitar), Lucas (bass), Dash (drums), and Maggie (vocals)—has been steadily building momentum since their first single Blue Jeans landed on our airwaves two years ago. This time, they came ready to celebrate the release of their brand-new EP, Homecoming, out now on Capitol Records
From the driving urgency of What’s It Gonna Take and Keep Me There, to the emotional depth of Call It Love, thebandfriday’s set showed exactly why they’re a band on the rise. Their sound draws on early-2000s indie influences like Phoenix and MGMT, while their songwriting—honed since middle school—keeps things fresh, personal, and distinctly their own.
